Unique hands on opportunity to lead supplier management and procurement for the Australia operation with a well regarded international financial services business.

We are working with an established international financial services organisation to recruit a Supplier Management and Procurement Lead for its Australian business.

n

This will suit someone who knows procurement well, is comfortable working autonomously and wants to take ownership of a function. This is not a role sitting within a large procurement team with layers of support around you.

The key focus of the role is across the full supplier lifecycle, including:

- Supplier onboarding and due diligence
n
- Contract and renewal management
n
- Supplier and service provider registers
n
- Supplier performance and SLA management
n
- Working with internal relationship owners across the business
n
- Coordinating with Legal, Risk and Compliance
n
- Supporting third party and material service provider (MSP) requirements
n
- Helping further define and embed procurement processes and responsibilities
n
- Supporting sourcing and procurement activity across a broad range of categories
n

There is some strategic and commercial procurement work,



but this is not a large tendering or category management role. A significant part of the position is making sure the fundamentals are working properly, managing suppliers effectively and helping the business take the right level of ownership.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

n

n
- Background and experience in supplier management, procurement or vendor management (6-8+ years experience)
n
- Prior experience working in a financial services workplace (strongly preferred)
n
- Comfortable working across multiple categories with good contract and supplier performance experience
n
- Understand third party risk and governance (CPS230 MSP/Operational Resilience understanding would be highly regarded)
n
- Highly organised and structured but also practical and commercial
n
- Can work independently without needing a large team around you
n

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar supplier management or procurement role and will be comfortable combining ownership and stakeholder engagement with the day-to-day detail.
