THE ROLE
As FP&A; Analyst within Group Commercial Finance, you'll support planning, forecasting and reporting across our student living, rent to live and retirement living platforms - owning much of the analytical layer beneath the group's management company numbers.
Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):
- Preparing and maintaining the group's revenue and management fee models, and supporting internal cost recharge and allocation calculations
- Building and maintaining annual budget and rolling forecast models, including reforecast cycles and scenario/sensitivity analysis
- Supporting monthly management reporting, variance analysis and commentary, and periodic flash reporting for executive decision-making
- Building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, and the underlying data structures behind them
- Acting as a finance contact for operational, corporate and investment teams, translating business plans into financial outcomes
- Simplifying and standardising spreadsheet models to keep them transparent, auditable and quick to review
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics,
Engineering or another quantitative discipline
- 1-3 years in an FP&A;, commercial finance or corporate finance role, or a first move into industry from a Big 4 or advisory background (transaction services, M&A;, valuations or audit)
- CA or CPA qualified or progressing toward qualification (CFA equally relevant)
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot
- Competence in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX and dashboard design (desired)
- Practical use of AI tools beyond basic chat - structured prompting, document/data extraction and building repeatable analytical workflows
- Exposure to real estate, infrastructure or funds management, or experience with a major ERP platform (e.g. NetSuite, TechOne), will be highly regarded
