Working a 6:1 / 5:2 roster with every second Saturday a half day, this is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong freight handling experience who takes pride in safety, accuracy and teamwork.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate forklifts of 2.5 tonne and above to safely load, unload and move freight
- Handle and prepare freight for safe and effective dispatch
- Apply safe load restraint practices when securing freight
- Use RF scanners to accurately scan and track freight throughout the depot
- Complete manual handling and general yard duties as required
- Work closely with drivers, freight teams and yard personnel to keep operations moving
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, accuracy and compliance throughout daily operations
What You’ll Bring
- Current LF Forklift Licence with practical experience operating forklifts of 2.5 tonne or above
- Previous freight, yard hand, warehouse or similar operational experience
- Practical load restraint experience
- Experience using RF scanners
- Confidence completing manual handling as part of a physical, hands-on role
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance
