Cooks – Modern Australian Cuisine Toodyay Food & Liquor Merchants Pty Ltd t/as Victoria Hotel Toodyay is looking for experienced cooks to join our team at a busy restaurant known for serving classic Australian fare and modern, seasonal dishes.

Type: Full-time, permanent
Award Remuneration: AUD $79500 to $84000 per annum + superannuation Key Responsibilities • Prepare, cook, and present a variety of Australian and contemporary dishes.
- Maintain consistent quality, flavour, and presentation standards.
- Manage food preparation, stock rotation, and portion control.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.
- Support kitchen staff and help train junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and competently.
- Contribute to menu development and daily specials.
- Support the kitchen leadership.
Skills and Requirements • A relevant Certificate III including at least 2 years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or another acceptable qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time or equivalent part-time experience in a commercial kitchen.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification will be considered.
- Solid knowledge of Australian-style modern cuisine.
- Strong knife skills and sound understanding of cooking techniques.
- Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Reliable, well-organised, and committed to high standards.
- Understanding of stock control and waste reduction.
