About the role

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women's Shelter supports women and children experiencing domestic and family violence and homelessness. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll bring people together around a shared purpose — building donor relationships, coordinating campaigns and events, strengthening local partnerships and leading a valued volunteer program.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and deliver fundraising campaigns, grants, supporter initiatives and community fundraising opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with donors, funders, local businesses, schools, community groups and supporters.
- Plan and coordinate fundraising and community events from promotion through to follow-up.
- Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, recognition and program development.
- Create engaging communications that promote HKWS's fundraising, community engagement and volunteer work.
- Support physical donation enquiries and processes in line with current service needs.

About you

- Experience in fundraising, community engagement, volunteer coordination, stakeholder engagement or a related field.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Outstanding organisation skills, with the ability to coordinate campaigns,



events and competing priorities.
- Sound judgement, initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
- A commitment to the safety, rights and wellbeing of women and children impacted by domestic and family violence and homelessness.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, boundaries and appropriately handle sensitive information.
- Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence.
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check, or willingness to obtain before commencement.
- Right to live and work in Australia.
