Residential Gardens | High-End Strata Growth A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced residential garden maintenance professional who is ready for a new challenge.
Fifth Season Landscapes is looking for an ambitious Team Leader with at least five years’ experience maintaining high-quality residential gardens. Alongside leading a residential maintenance team, you will help us establish and grow a current high-end strata garden maintenance service across Sydney.
This is an opportunity to apply your horticultural and leadership experience beyond day-to-day garden maintenance. You will have input into how the strata division is structured, help build strong relationships with strata managers and committees, and play an important role in growing the team and client base.
The opportunity
Fifth Season Landscapes currently maintains approximately 100 residential gardens and has a strong pipeline of clients seeking our services. Over the next 24 months, we plan to expand our residential maintenance teams while developing a carefully selected portfolio of premium strata properties.
We are looking for someone who understands the level of detail required in high-quality residential gardens and is ready to bring that same standard of presentation, communication and care to larger strata properties.
The role
Your responsibilities will include
- Leading a garden maintenance team across residential and premium strata properties
- Maintaining gardens to the high standard expected by FSL clients
- Communicating confidently with homeowners, strata managers and building representatives
- Identifying improvements and additional works that will benefit each property
- Assisting with team scheduling, planning and quality control
- Helping develop efficient systems and service standards for our strata clients
- Supporting the recruitment, training and development of additional team members
- Contributing ideas and taking ownership of the division’s growth
We have developed our own garden maintenance app to improve scheduling, communication and efficiency while reducing paperwork. We can teach you our systems, but we are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and comfortable taking responsibility.
About you
You will ideally have
- At least five years’ experience in residential garden maintenance
- Strong horticultural and plant knowledge
- Experience leading or supervising other team members
- High personal standards and strong attention to detail
- Confidence communicating with clients and managing expectations
- The ability to plan work and coordinate teams across multiple properties
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well with people of different ages and experience levels
- An interest in helping build a new area of the business
Previous strata maintenance experience would be valuable but is not essential. More key is your understanding of premium residential gardens and your willingness to step into a broader leadership and client-management role. What we offer
- A genuine opportunity to help establish and grow a new division
- A strong existing residential client base and business reputation
- Support from experienced directors and an established landscape team
- Modern systems designed to reduce paperwork and improve efficiency
- The opportunity to build and lead a team
- A competitive remuneration package based on experience and capability
- A clear pathway toward a more senior garden maintenance management role
