About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced General Insurance Broker to join the JD Insurance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional with approximately 3 years’ experience in General Insurance Broking who is looking to take the next step in their career within a growing and supportive business.

Working as part of the JD Insurance team, you will assist with managing an existing portfolio of SME and commercial clients, providing quality insurance advice and building strong, long-term client relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Manage and service an existing portfolio of SME and commercial clients.

- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients.

- Assist clients with their ongoing General Insurance needs.

- Review client insurance requirements and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.

- Prepare and present insurance renewal and new business proposals.

- Obtain and compare quotes from insurers and underwriting agencies.

- Negotiate with insurers to obtain appropriate cover and competitive terms.

- Manage current business enquiries and warm referrals.

- Assist clients with policy changes, endorsements, cancellations and other servicing requirements.

- Liaise with insurers, underwriting agencies and other key stakeholders.

- Assist clients with claims and liaise with insurers and claims teams where required.

- Maintain accurate client records and ensure all compliance requirements are met.

- Identify opportunities to further assist clients with their insurance needs.

- Work collaboratively with the broader JD Group to service client referrals.

- Contribute to the continued growth and development of JD Insurance.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

- Approximately 3 years’ experience in General Insurance Broking, preferably managing or servicing their own portfolio.

- Holds a Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification.

- Has a strong understanding of General Insurance products and the broking process.

- Client-focused and passionate about providing quality service and advice.

- Confident communicating with clients, insurers and other stakeholders.

- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

- Proactive and motivated, with a willingness to learn and develop.

- Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.

- A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively.

- Interested in building a long-term career within a growing insurance business.
