St. Louis House Of Fine Ice Cream & Dessert is looking for a passionate and skilled Gelato Maker to join our production team in Adelaide.

As a Gelato Maker, you will play a key role in the day-to-day production of our gelato and dessert range.

You'll be involved in everything from weighing and preparing recipes through to churning, extracting, finishing and packing — ensuring every batch meets our high standards.

Your responsibilities will include

- Producing gelato and sorbetto according to established recipes and specifications
- Operating commercial gelato production equipment
- Accurately weighing and preparing ingredients
- Following recipes, production sheets and batch requirements
- Ensuring consistency in texture, flavour, colour and yield
- Preparing inclusions, ripples, sauces and other gelato additions
- Layering and incorporating inclusions during extraction
- Managing production schedules and prioritising daily requirements
- Monitoring stock, ingredients and production levels
- Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards
- Following HACCP and workplace food safety procedures
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and production areas




- Working closely with the wider pastry and production team
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient production environment

⭐ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on and genuinely passionate about gelato.

You will ideally have

- Previous experience making gelato, ice cream, sorbetto or frozen desserts.
- Strong understanding of recipes, weighing and production processes.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Valuable organisational and time-management skills
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
