The Opportunity

Followmont Transport is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the next phase of performance and growth across our New South Wales operations.

Based in Sydney and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a significant executive appointment with full accountability for the strategic, operational and financial performance of the NSW business.

As a member of the Operations Leadership Team, you will shape the direction of the state, strengthen leadership capability and create the focus and accountability required to deliver sustainable results.

This role offers the opportunity to influence beyond daily operations. You will identify opportunities, navigate complex business challenges and ensure our NSW network is positioned to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers, people and broader business.

About You You are a commercially astute senior leader with a strong record of delivering results across complex, multisite operations.



You combine strategic perspective with operational credibility and are confident making decisions in a quick-moving environment. You are a visible and approachable leader who builds trust, develops people and creates a culture where teams understand how they contribute to the broader business. You know how to empower leaders, create accountability and unite teams around clear business priorities.

You will bring

- Senior general management or executive operational leadership experience
- Strong commercial acumen and financial accountability
- Experience leading geographically dispersed operations
- A demonstrated record of improving safety, service, productivity and profitability
- A genuine commitment to employee engagement, leadership development and building a strong workplace culture
- The ability to lead change and solve complex business challenges
- Executive level communication, influence and stakeholder management
- A strong commitment to developing leaders and building high performing teams

Experience within transport, logistics, supply chain or another complex operational environment will be highly regarded.
