We’re seeking a hands-on Finance Manager / Senior Accountant to join a successful, family-focused organisation in South Sydney on a 10-month contract , covering a period of parental leave.

This is a stand-alone finance role , giving you full ownership across all aspects of finance. You’ll work closely with the Directors and broader business and play a key role in supporting the organisation’s ongoing success.

The Opportunity

This is a broad, hands-on position where no two days will necessarily be the same. You’ll be responsible for:

- Managing the month-end close
- Journals and reconciliations
- Management reporting
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Capital expenditure and controls
- Oversight of AP, AR and Payroll
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Supporting the Directors with financial insight
- Maintaining strong financial processes and controls
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Working alongside an Accounts Administrator who will support the transactional finance function

You’ll be the go-to person for all things finance , so we're looking for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety and getting stuck into the detail when required.

You’ll ideally have:

- Experience managing a finance function independently
- Experience within a similar-sized organisation




- Strong month-end and management reporting experience
- Solid understanding of cash flow and financial controls
- Exposure across AP, AR and Payroll
- A hands-on, practical approach
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership
- A commercial mindset and willingness to get involved
- The ability to hit the ground running
