Graduate Accountant — North Sydney

VLL Partners is a boutique chartered accounting firm in North Sydney. We look after many client groups — companies, trusts, sole traders, partnerships and SMSFs — handling their tax, accounting, ASIC compliance and tax advisory services.

This role is designed as a genuine first role in public practice, and you'll be sitting close enough to the Directors to learn the reasoning behind the work, not just the process.

What you'll actually be doing

- Preparing individual, company, trust, partnership & SMSF tax returns

- Preparing financial statements and supporting workpapers

- Preparing BAS and IAS

- Bookkeeping and reconciliations in various accounting software

- ASIC corporate secretarial work including Annual Company Statements





What we're looking for

- A completed accounting degree, or finishing in the next few months, with the units required for entry to the CA program

- Ambition to grow as an accountant and move into more senior roles with greater responsibilities

- Solid Excel skills preferred

- Transparent, plain written and spoken English

- Someone with attention to detail

- Valid Australian work rights

No prior experience needed. If you've done a tax internship or worked in a bookkeeping role, say so, but it's not a requirement.
