Avive Health is a growing private mental health provider focused on delivering contemporary, high-quality mental health care and creating better experiences for patients, families and referring practitioners.

We are looking for an engaging and relationship-focused GP Liaison to join our team on a part-time basis, working three days per week across Melbourne.

This role will play an important part in strengthening Avive’s relationships with GPs, specialists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring referrers understand our services, referral pathways and how Avive can support their patients.

About the role

As GP Liaison, you will be a key connection between Avive Health and the broader medical community. You will build trusted relationships with existing referrers while identifying opportunities to introduce Avive and its services to new practices and healthcare professionals.

Your responsibilities will include

- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with GPs, practice managers, specialists and other healthcare professionals
- Visiting medical practices and engaging directly with referring practitioners across Melbourne
- Increasing awareness and understanding of Avive’s mental health services, programs and referral pathways
- Supporting existing referrers and making it easy for practices to connect patients with appropriate Avive services
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen referral networks and build new relationships
- Coordinating practice education sessions, presentations and other referrer engagement activities
- Working closely with Avive’s clinical, operational and marketing teams to ensure accurate and relevant information is provided to referrers




- Gathering feedback and insights from the healthcare community to help Avive continually improve the referrer experience
- Maintaining accurate records of engagement activity and providing visibility of relationship development and referral trends.

About you

You are confident building professional relationships and enjoy being out in the healthcare community rather than sitting behind a desk.

You will ideally bring

- Experience in GP liaison, healthcare engagement, medical business development, practice management, pharmaceutical or medical services, allied health, or a similar relationship-focused role
- A strong understanding of how GP practices and healthcare referral networks operate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility with medical professionals
- A proactive and organised approach to managing relationships and follow-up
- The ability to work independently while remaining closely connected with the broader Avive team
- Genuine interest in mental health and improving access to quality care
- A current driver's licence and the ability to travel across Melbourne as required.

Experience within mental health or private healthcare would be highly regarded, although it is not essential.
