What’s On Offer Join the Capital Contracts team within the City’s Chief Procurement Office and help deliver some of the City of Gold Coast’s largest and most significant infrastructure projects. Working alongside experienced contract managers,



commercial specialists and superintendent representatives, you will gain hands-on experience in contract management, procurement, commercial management, governance and project delivery while contributing to real projects that create lasting advantages for the Gold Coast community. Through structured coaching, mentoring and on-the-job experience, you will progressively take ownership of your own responsibilities and projects, building the confidence, judgement and professional skills required for a successful career in infrastructure and commercial management.

A unique aspect of the role is the opportunity to work closely with contractors, consultants and delivery partners involved in major infrastructure projects. This provides valuable real-world experience and exposure to how government and industry work together to deliver community outcomes. The role offers broad exposure to disciplines including contract management, procurement, commercial management, project management, infrastructure delivery, and stakeholder management, helping you build valuable skills while providing insight into future career pathways and areas of specialisation.

Who can apply? To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification from a tertiary institution, completed within the last two years or be completing prior to the commencement of the program in February 2027. Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program and be able to work full-time. The Capital Contract Management Graduate position is recommended for but not limited to graduates who have studied Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Construction Management, Project Management, Property Economics, Engineering (Civil); and related fields.
