The Opportunity
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate to join our Procurement & Vendor Management team. This is a fantastic prospect for someone who is keen to learn, enjoys working with people and data, and wants to gain hands-on experience in a commercial environment.
Working closely with our Head of Procurement & Vendor Management, you'll be exposed to procurement, supplier management, contracts, technology, finance and business operations, giving you a well-rounded foundation to kick-start your career. You'll be supported every step of the way while developing valuable skills that can open doors across a range of career pathways.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you'll help support the day-to-day procurement activities across the Bank, including:
- Assisting with sourcing goods and services and obtaining supplier quotes
- Supporting supplier onboarding and maintaining supplier records
- Assisting with contract administration, renewals and reviews
- Helping analyse pricing, costs and supplier information
- Maintaining procurement documentation and systems
- Supporting procurement reporting and spend analysis
- Providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders on procurement processes
- Building positive relationships with suppliers and business stakeholders
- Contributing ideas to improve procurement systems and processes
No two days will be the same,
and you'll have the opportunity to work with teams across the Bank while learning how procurement contributes to strategic business outcomes. What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in building a career in procurement or commercial operations. You may be a recent graduate or currently completing studies in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Accounting, IT or a related discipline. Most importantly, you're curious, organised and enjoy solving problems.
You'll also bring:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to build positive working relationships
- A proactive and organised approach to your work
- An interest in working with systems, technology and data
- Integrity and a commitment to following processes and governance requirements
- A desire to learn, grow and contribute to a collaborative team environment
