Graduate Physiotherapist Program | UnitingCare Hospitals

Employment Term: 24-month fixed term Graduate Program with Full time hours

Program Details: Four rotations of six months, included in the rotations will involve areas of Surgical / Medical/ Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation.

Location: These rotations will be located across three of the UnitingCare Hospitals.

- The Wesley Hospital – Auchenflower - Brisbane
- St Andrew’s War Memorial – Spring Hill – Brisbane
- St Stephen’s – Hervey Bay – Accommodation will be provided for this location.

Remuneration: $45.49p/hr + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay) + Penalties Applications Close: 14th of October 2026

Our team of allied health professionals assist patients through a variety of admitted programs and outpatient services to achieve the best possible outcomes in their rehabilitation and recovery. Our team includes Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers and Dietitians. We offer a wide variety of services including Women’s and Men’s Health, Outpatient, Rehabilitation and Persistent Pain.

Joining our Allied Health team as a Physiotherapist, you will work with patients to maximise their physical potential and restore movement and function, providing treatment integral to recovery from surgery, illness and injury.

With a focus on delivering high-quality, clinical care to patients within an acute setting, you’ll recognise the importance of multi-disciplinary approaches to rehabilitation, bringing an open, cooperative approach to patient-centred care. Offering rotations in the Acute hospital, Rehabilitation and Day Rehabilitation. There will a regional rotation to St Stephen’s Private Hospital in Hervey Bay within your second-year rotations, with accommodation provided.

What makes a difference for us?

- Relevant qualifications and AHPRA registration
- Australian Working Rights (We are unable to provide sponsorships)
- Experience in health is desirable
- Excellent timekeeping is essential.
- Offering work alongside a highly skilled team, demonstrating fantastic teamwork and support to each other in a MDT.
- A recent graduate, having graduated within 12 months of commencement date
- Availability to commence mid-January 2027
- One Acute Tertiary hospital placement completed (desirable)
- Commitment to teamwork and high-level communication skills
- Genuine interest and availability to undertake 1 rotation of 6 months at our regional St Stephen’s Hospital in Hervey Bay (Accommodation provided)
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and learning
- A demonstrated willingness and eagerness to take on and respond to feedback
- Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements
