Imagine starting your career on one of Australia's largest and most transformative infrastructure projects.
The Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) is changing the way Melbourne moves and grows - connecting people to jobs, education, healthcare and housing opportunities across the city. We have started tunnelling on the project and trains are set to run in 2035. As a graduate at the Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA), you'll have the chance to contribute to a project that will leave a lasting legacy for generations of Victorians.

Program Highlights
- Two-year fixed-term employment
- Commencing 3rd February 2027
- Up to four 6-month rotations aligned to your interests and career goals
- Opportunity to undertake an Alliance Embedment rotation and gain experience with industry delivery partners

Your Development
As an SRLA graduate, your development goes well beyond your day-to-day role. You’ll take part in a structured Graduate Learning Series designed to bridge the gap between university and the workplace, helping you build the practical, transferable skills you need to thrive. Across the program, you’ll develop your confidence, self-awareness, communication and relationship-building skills, while gaining practical tools to help you make the most of each rotation and contribute meaningfully to your teams and projects.
As you progress, the program will help you build skills in collaboration, feedback, influencing and negotiation, problem solving, strategic and commercial thinking, and career planning. Through practical activities and real workplace scenarios, you’ll have opportunities to apply what you learn, understand your strengths and career interests, and build a transparent plan for where you want your career to go next.

Selection process for intake 2027:
Our recruitment process is designed to provide every candidate with a fair and engaging experience while giving you the opportunity to showcase your skills, potential and motivation to join SRLA.

Applications close at 11:59pm (AEST). Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications submitted after this time.
Upon Application
SRLA’s candidate focussed process allows you to complete your application form, video and assessments in one sitting at your convenience.
Once you begin your application, you can complete the process in your own time in one sitting, however, need to ensure that you’ve completed your video and assessments by the closing date of 11:59pm (AEST) on Sunday 4th October 2026.

Offer Process
Starting week of 19th October 2026
Successful candidates will receive an offer of employment. Prior to an offer being finalised, we will complete reference checks, police checks and qualification verification.

About you To be eligible to apply, you must have:
- Australia Citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency or New Zealand Citizenship
- Completed a relevant university undergraduate degree in 2024, 2025, 2026 or graduate by January 2027.
