About the ROLE:

We are looking for a Graph Developer to join our team in Sydney on a 6-month contract.

In this role, you will design, build, configure, test and optimise a Neo4j graph database solution supporting a Network Connectivity Model project.

You will work closely with the Solution Lead Architect, KNIME Engineers, Business Analysts, UAT / Graph Test Analyst and business SMEs to develop graph-based solutions and ensure data and outputs meet business requirements.

Key responsibilities include

- Build and configure the Neo4j graph database solution.
- Implement graph nodes, relationships, properties, labels, indexes and constraints.
- Develop and optimise Cypher queries for analytics and business use cases.
- Support the implementation of the Neo4j analytics foundation and agreed business use cases.
- Validate graph data loaded through KNIME ETL pipelines.
- Support full-load and daily incremental-load testing.




- Perform graph query tuning and performance optimisation.
- Support graph defect triage, investigation and resolution.
- Work with Business Analysts and SMEs to validate graph outputs against business requirements.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT, performance/load testing and go-live readiness.
- Document graph implementation, query logic, data assumptions and technical decisions.
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers where required.

About YOU

- Strong hands-on experience with Neo4j or similar graph database technologies.
- Strong Cypher query development and optimisation skills.
- Good understanding of graph concepts, including nodes, relationships, labels, properties, traversal, subgraphs, indexes and constraints.
- Experience implementing graph or relationship-heavy data models.
- Experience validating data loads and resolving data-quality issues.
- Experience supporting testing, defect resolution and production readiness.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and documentation skills.

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

- Geospatial, utility network, asset or connectivity data.
- Electricity distribution networks, GIS, ADMS or asset management data.
- Neo4j APOC, Graph Data Science or graph analytics.
- Cloud-hosted database environments.
- KNIME, Databricks or other ETL/data pipeline platforms.
