School offers a wide range of science subjects, including our signature Aquatics and Marine program. This is an exciting opportunity to lead quality teaching and learning in a vibrant, diverse Science Department. As Head of Department - Science, you will be a key member of the Leadership Team demonstrating strong communication, relationship-building, analytical and leadership skills, with the ability to lead change and work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes. This is a temporary full time position commencing 21 January 2027.

- Provide strategic and educational leadership to develop and implement a shared vision that prioritises high-quality learning outcomes and success for every student.
- Champion equity, inclusion and socially just practices, fostering a safe, respectful and supportive school culture where all students and staff are valued and have high expectations for achievement.
- Lead continuous improvement and professional growth, building staff capability through collaboration, reflective practice, lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Build strong partnerships and collaborative networks with students, families, school staff, government agencies and community organisations to strengthen engagement, wellbeing and educational outcomes.
- Strategically manage resources, policy and compliance, ensuring effective management of human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources while meeting legislative and departmental requirements and achieving school priorities.
