Your Opportunity The Head of Department - Mathematics role is suited to an accomplished leader with strong disciplinary expertise who can collaboratively lead the faculty, set high expectations for staff and students, and drive innovative, inquiry-based teaching and learning aligned with the school's strategic priorities.

As Head Of Department - Mathematics, You Will

- Provide curriculum leadership in Individuals and Society in line with QASMT's vision and the Department of Education's strategic priorities.

- Lead the department in fostering innovation, inquiry, and academic excellence across the IB MYP and DP.

- Work collaboratively with and support other Heads of Department to shape and implement strategic planning and foster a positive collegial culture within and across the three Individuals and Society departments.

- Develop, implement, and review teaching and learning programs that result in exceptional outcomes for highly capable learners.

- Manage and optimise human, financial, and curriculum resources within the mathematics faculty.

- Promote a culture of collaboration, qualified growth, and high expectations among staff.

- Nurture positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the broader scientific and education community.

- Ensure departmental practice reflects socially just and inclusive approaches, in alignment with school and DoE policy.
