A leading global logistics and supply chain organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Finance – Australia to lead its finance function and support the continued growth and performance of the Australian business.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who can combine strong technical capability with strategic insight, operational understanding and effective stakeholder management.

The opportunity

Reporting to the regional finance leadership team, you will oversee the Australian finance function and act as a trusted business partner to the Managing Director and wider leadership team.

You will play a key role in strengthening financial performance, improving commercial decision-making and ensuring robust governance across the business.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and develop the Australian finance team.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and management accounting.
- Provide clear financial analysis and commercial recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Partner with operational and commercial leaders to improve business performance.
- Monitor profitability, cash flow, working capital and financial risk.
- Ensure robust financial controls, compliance and governance.
- Support business planning, investment decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting.
- Work closely with regional and global finance teams.
- Contribute to transformation and continuous improvement across the organisation.





About you You will be an experienced finance leader with a strong background in a complex, operational or multinational environment. You will be equally comfortable working at a strategic level and engaging with the detail required to support effective business decisions.

You are likely to bring:

- A relevant accounting qualification, such as CA or CPA.
- Significant experience in a senior finance leadership position.
- Strong commercial finance and business partnering capability.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- A sound understanding of financial controls, reporting and governance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to influence, challenge and support senior leaders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, transport, warehousing or another operationally complex industry would be advantageous.
