About the Role
n
Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening and enhancing its AML/CTF and Privacy frameworks.
n
Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer, this Brisbane-based position will provide specialist guidance and oversight across financial crime risk, customer due diligence, privacy compliance and regulatory change initiatives.
n
This is a highly visible role suited to a seasoned compliance professional seeking to leverage their AML and privacy expertise in a dynamic financial services environment. You will work closely with senior leaders, operational teams, clients and external stakeholders while contributing to the ongoing maturity of the organisation's compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Support the ongoing enhancement, maintenance and effectiveness of AML/CTF and Privacy frameworks, policies and governance arrangements.
n
- Provide expert advice and oversight relating to customer due diligence, KYC reviews, ongoing monitoring, high-risk customers and complex AML matters.
n
- Coordinate compliance monitoring,
assurance reviews, incident investigations, breach management and remediation activities.
n
- Prepare and contribute to executive, committee and Board reporting while supporting regulatory reporting obligations.
n
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive regulatory change, improve controls and promote a strong culture of compliance.

About You
n
You are an experienced compliance professional with a strong background in AML/CTF, financial crime, privacy and regulatory compliance within the financial services sector. You bring a sound understanding of Australian AML/CTF and privacy obligations, coupled with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and influence stakeholders at all levels.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Demonstrated experience in AML/CTF compliance, financial crime, risk or regulatory compliance within financial services.
n
- Solid experience gained within banking, wealth management, superannuation or other highly regulated environments.
n
- Solid knowledge of AML/CTF legislation, customer due diligence, KYC requirements, enhanced due diligence and financial crime risk management.
n
- Experience across AML/CTF program management, compliance monitoring, privacy compliance, regulatory change initiatives and incident or breach management.
n
- Proven ability to prepare and present reporting to senior leadership, risk committees and Boards, supported by excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
