Position Overview The Head of Garden Maintenance will lead our maintenance division and play a key role in ensuring our gardens and properties are maintained to a consistently high standard. This role is ideal for someone with robust horticultural knowledge, leadership experience, and a genuine passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.

You will be responsible for managing daily maintenance operations, leading a team on-site, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring all works are carried out efficiently, safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the garden maintenance team across a range of residential and acreage properties
- Plan and oversee daily and weekly maintenance schedules
- Carry out and supervise all aspects of garden maintenance including pruning, hedging, weeding, lawn care, planting and seasonal garden works
- Monitor overall garden health and make recommendations for improvements and seasonal works
- Maintain a high level of presentation across all properties
- Liaise professionally with clients and represent the business well on-site
- Train, support and mentor junior staff
- Ensure tools, equipment and vehicles are used and maintained correctly
- Maintain safe work practices and uphold company standards at all times

Skills and Experience Required

- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Minimum 3 years' experience in maintenance team leadership roles




- Minimum Certificate III in Horticulture
- Strong plant knowledge and understanding of seasonal garden maintenance
- Experience managing staff and leading a team
- Minimum 1 year of staff supervision experience
- High attention to detail and pride in your work
- Strong customer service and communication skills

- Full Australian driver's licence
- Ability to drive a trailer
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Must be an Australian citizen with eligibility to work in Australia

- Early start, early finish — 7:00am to 3:00pm

- Salary package of $70,000 – $90,000 plus super, depending on experience
