Head of Strategy | Melbourne | ASX-listed global education business A rare opportunity to step out of consulting and into the business, whist remaining focused on high level strategy work.

Our client is a large, ASX-listed global business in international education, looking for a Head of Strategy to sit close to the centre of decision making. You'll report to the Chief Strategy Officer, with direct exposure to the CEO, COO, CFO and Regional Directors, not filtered through account layers.

This is a genuinely broad, global mandate, ranging from traditional projects running weeks or months to fast analytical support for a leader walking into a key negotiation. The work includes:

- Pulling apart a country or region's performance to understand where the business is winning, where it's losing ground, and what commercial moves leadership should make, getting into market and competitive position more than corporate investment decisions
- Pressure-testing business plans, local or global, checking the logic holds and the performance levers are clear, then working with the team behind them to sharpen it
- Working with functions like government relations or corporate communications to sharpen focus, clarify priorities and improve internal coordination
- Translating business performance needs into product change roadmaps alongside product teams
- Getting close to both sides of the business,



the institutions it partners with and the people they ultimately serve

Data analytics sits at the centre of the role. You'll get into the analysis yourself, not just direct it, and help sharpen the thinking of junior team members alongside you.

About you

You're likely a senior manager moving toward principal at a firm such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, L.E.K. or Kearney, with strong problem structuring, analytical and financial skills, and the judgment to take a loosely defined problem and come back with a explicit point of view. You can work effectively across a large, matrixed public company, building relationships and translating between functions and geographies, not just producing decks. Some travel and cross-timezone work should be expected.
