We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to support students requiring adjustments, lead inclusion staff and drive wellbeing, engagement and inclusive education practices across the school. Working closely with school leadership, teachers, students, families, specialist services and community partners, the Head of Special Education Services will build staff capability, promote evidence-informed inclusive practices, oversee effective student support systems and contribute to whole-school improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative educational leader who is committed to equity, inclusion and excellence, and who can inspire others to create a learning setting where every student is valued, supported and able to thrive.
This is a temporary full-time position commencing 21 January 2027.

About The Role Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, inclusive support and advice that promotes positive outcomes for students with disability.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to school leaders, teachers and support staff to develop and implement effective reasonable adjustments, targeted interventions and inclusive teaching practices that respond to individual student needs.
- Coordinate intensive intervention and case management for students requiring substantial or extensive adjustments, including collaboration with specialist services and support agencies to ensure comprehensive and responsive provision.
- Develop and oversee effective school-wide systems and partnerships, including student data collection, monitoring and reporting requirements such as the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD), while working collaboratively with families, government agencies and community organisations.
- Contribute to strategic school leadership and improvement through participation in decision-making, professional development, planning and the effective management of human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve school priorities.
