About the role

As Head of Structural Landscaping, you will work directly with the owner of Alto Landscaping and take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of landscape construction projects. This is a senior, hands-on position for an experienced landscape construction professional who can confidently take responsibility for projects from site set-out through to completion, while leading and developing a small construction team.

Key responsibilities

- Leading landscape construction projects on site
- Managing tradespeople, landscapers and apprentices
- Planning daily and weekly construction activities
- Site set-out, levels and construction sequencing
- Excavation and earthworks
- Operating excavators, mini loaders and landscaping machinery
- Retaining walls, drainage and irrigation infrastructure
- Steel garden edging, welding and fabrication
- Timber construction, raised vegetable and garden beds
- Paving and pathway construction, turf and soil preparation

About you

- Certificate III in Landscape Construction or higher
- Minimum 5 years' landscape construction industry experience
- Strong structural landscaping experience
- Experience supervising or leading staff on site
- Current driver's licence
- White Card




- Strong understanding of construction plans, measurements, levels and set-out
- Ability to independently organise and deliver landscaping projects to a high standard
- Experience in excavation, machinery operation, welding, carpentry, drainage, irrigation, paving and retaining wall construction
