Join the Occupational Therapy team at Bayside Health Service and gain valuable hands-on experience while developing your clinical skills alongside your tertiary studies. You will:
- Provide safe, compassionate and patient-centred care under the guidance and practice supervision of experienced allied health professionals.
- Undertake a defined range of clinical assessment and treatment activities, contribute to treatment planning, and provide education to patients and families.
- Work collaboratively within an interprofessional team, contributing to patient goals, case conferences, clinical documentation and coordinated care.
- Participate in quality improvement, research, training and professional development while gaining valuable workplace experience as you progress towards your Occupational Therapy qualification.
About You We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapy student who is keen to translate their university learning into meaningful clinical experience and make a positive difference to patients and their families. To be successful, you will:
- Be currently enrolled in a recognised Australian university Occupational Therapy degree that leads to the required entry-level qualification for employment as a Health Practitioner in Queensland.
- Demonstrate compassion, integrity, respect and accountability, with a genuine commitment to patient-centred care.
- Communicate effectively and works collaboratively with patients, families and members of the interprofessional team.
- Show a willingness to learn, develop clinical skills, contribute to service improvement and embrace opportunities for professional development

About Occupational Therapy Department,
Bayside Health Service Bayside Occupational Therapy Department is a medium sized team based predominantly at Redland Hospital and delivers services across Redland Hospital, Redlands Satellite Health Centre, Pandanus Unit, Redland Residential Care and within the community. This position is rotational and may be required to work throughout Bayside Health Service and the position's primary work location may change based on operational requirements. This position may be required to provide Occupational Therapy services on weekends and public holidays at Redland Hospital on a rotational or roster basis.
