The Opportunity:

Due to our continued and expected growth, we are seeking a suitably experienced FIFO Mechanic with strong Heavy Duty Diesel experience to join our Bibra Lake Trailer Repairs operations in a FIFO capacity from Perth to Karratha WA.

This position based in our Karratha Workshop, will be responsible for conducting all servicing, maintenance and repairs for our road transport equipment with preferred experience in Volvo, Mack, Kenworth and Heavy Haulage trailers & general trailing equipment.

Platform experience will be highly regarded.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

- Undertaking and completion of scheduled maintenance, servicing, repairs, general preventative fleet maintenance.
- Attending to breakdowns and diagnosis of maintenance problems.




- Completion of all necessary paperwork - job cards, maintenance checklists, work orders, service reports.
- Completing general heavy vehicle and mobile plant maintenance and repairs at Karratha and on surrounding regional worksites as required.
- This position does not involve rebuilding motors, transmissions etc - it is more focused towards completing all the general servicing, repairs, scheduled maintenance, breakdowns on all plant and equipment.

Essential Criteria:

- Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
- Demonstrate experience with Prime Mover, Heavy Haulage platform trailers and general Trailing Equipment.
- Experience in Kenworth, Volvo , Isuzu, MAN & DAF trucks
- Relevant licenses and tickets
- Ability to complete tasks within timeframes
- Strong reporting skills
- Strong skills in time management and self-motivated
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written, valuable listening skills
- Comply with Drug and Alcohol screening
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical
- FIFO 2 and 1 swing
- unrestricted manual C Class license

Desirable Criteria:

- MC License would be an advantage
- Experience with CAT or Cummins Engines
- Forklift license
- Working from Heights
