Your role:

Be a tradie in the Navy working as a Helicopter Airframe Technician to maintain, repair and overhaul Seahawk Romeo helicopter aircraft systems, equipment and components, onboard ships and ashore.

Whether you already have a trade, you're an apprentice, or you have no experience at all, we're hiring. You’ll be paid from day one to gain all the skills needed with extensive on-the-job trade training and work towards a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical).

Your duties include, but aren’t limited to maintaining:

- Helicopter transmissions

- Engine systems and controls

- Auxiliary systems

- Flight control systems
- Aircraft structures and aircraft finishes

- Ground support equipment

- Landing gear

- Aviation safety equipment

Salary: Competitive Salary + Generous Superannuation of 16.4%

Get paid to train from day one and earn a salary $60,517 per year. Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you’ll enjoy a salary package starting from $95,741 per year.

Period of Service requirements:

General Entry Sailor roles now have an Initial Minimum Period of Service (IMPS) between 2 and 3 years for all applicants.

Eligibility:

- For this role, you must be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have passes in Year 10 English, Maths and Science.
