Genus Infrastructure WA is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team on a casual basis, providing additional support across our WA operations and covering our permanent SHEQ team during periods of leave, project requirements and peak workloads.

This opportunity would suit an experienced SHEQ professional who enjoys the flexibility of casual work and is happy to pick up assignments as they become available, whether that be short-term project support, roster coverage or additional site-based assistance.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, reliable and comfortable being contacted when coverage requirements arise.

The Role

Working across Genus Infrastructure projects in WA, you will support our project and operational teams to maintain high standards of safety, health, environment and quality.

Depending on the assignment, your responsibilities may include:

- Providing SHEQ support and guidance to project and site teams.
- Providing leave and roster coverage for permanent SHEQ Advisors.
- Conducting site inspections, audits and workplace observations.
- Supporting incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
- Assisting with risk assessments, SWMS, JHAs and other safety documentation.
- Monitoring compliance with company procedures, client requirements and relevant legislation.
- Supporting site inductions, toolbox meetings and safety initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate SHEQ records, registers and reporting.
- Working closely with supervisors and project leadership to promote a positive safety culture.
- Providing practical, hands-on SHEQ support in changing project environments.





About You We are looking for an experienced and adaptable SHEQ professional who can confidently step into different projects and provide support when required.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous experience as a SHEQ, HSE or Safety Advisor within construction, infrastructure, utilities, mining or a similar project setting.
- Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety.
- Strong knowledge of WA WHS legislation and industry requirements.
- Experience with incident investigations, risk management and site safety systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and integrate quickly into different project teams.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
- Construction White Card.
- Flexibility to undertake casual and ad hoc assignments, sometimes at relatively short notice.
- Willingness to travel to regional/project locations when required
