As WTG continues to evolve, we are strengthening our HSE function to support our people, operations and future growth more effectively. We are seeking a highly organised HSE & Compliance Coordinator to work closely with the HSE Business Partner, maintaining effective safety systems, coordinating compliance activities and contributing to safer, more consistent operations across the Group. Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders, supervisors and frontline teams through field engagement, coaching and consultation to build capability, strengthen secure work behaviours and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Support risk management through hazard identification, risk assessments such as JHAs and SWMS, control verification, workplace inspections, observations, audits and compliance checks.
- Support the reporting and investigation of injuries, near misses, hazards and environmental incidents, ensuring learnings are shared and effective corrective actions are completed.
- Coordinate and deliver HSE training and awareness activities, including inductions, refresher training and toolbox talks, while maintaining training compliance and records.
- Support environmental compliance and practical controls across operations, including spills, waste,
hazardous substances and environmental incident reporting.
- Support HSE meetings, safety communications and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support injury management and Return to Work coordination, including liaison with WorkCover and other relevant stakeholders.
- Own and maintain the Safety Management System, including document control, registers, templates and procedure review cycles.
- Maintain HSE reporting and insights, including leading and lagging indicators, action tracking, control effectiveness and audit readiness.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in HSE, safety administration, compliance or a related role, with enthusiasm for building your career in safety.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with a practical approach and an eye for detail.
- Experience working with safety systems, registers, records or compliance documentation.
- Confidence building positive relationships with leaders, supervisors and frontline teams.
Desirable:
- Experience with incident investigation methodologies (e.g., ICAM, 5-Why/root cause analysis), WorkCover/RTW coordination and exposure to operational environmental requirements
- Formal qualification in Work Health & Safety (e.g., Cert IV WHS, Diploma WHS or equivalent) and/or relevant tertiary studies.
