About the opportunity

HBT Australia is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join the HR team and provide hands-on support across its NSW operations.

Based primarily in Beresfield, you will work closely with business leaders and the broader HR team to provide practical HR support across the employee lifecycle. This is a varied role spanning recruitment and onboarding, employee and industrial relations, performance management, employee engagement, training and development and succession planning.

Key responsibilities will include

- Partnering with leaders on employee relations, performance management and broader workplace matters
- Managing recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts and employee engagement activities
- Providing advice in line with employment legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
- Supporting enterprise agreement activities, with previous exposure to EA/EBA negotiations highly regarded
- Supporting training, development, performance reviews and succession planning
- Contributing to HR projects,



systems and continuous improvement initiatives
- Utiling HBT Group’s HRIS systems such as Employment Hero

You will work collaboratively with HBT's broader HR and WH&S; teams, with dedicated return-to-work resources and external employment law support available for more complex matters. The position will primarily support HBT's NSW workforce, with occasional travel as required.

About you

You will be a proactive and adaptable HR qualified who enjoys building strong relationships and providing practical advice in a fast-paced environment.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Broad generalist HR experience
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
- Experience supporting leaders with employee relations and performance matters
- Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills
- Exposure to EA/EBA negotiations or unionised environments will be highly regarded
- Experience within mining, manufacturing, engineering, construction or another operational environment will be advantageous, but is not essential
