The Opportunity

We are seeking a vibrant and agile educator to join our team for a 12-month, up to 0.8 FTE contract. While the primary focus is Humanities and English, a versatile candidate capable of teaching across other subject areas will be highly regarded. Reporting to the relevant Learning Area Coordinator, you will be a motivated collaborator dedicated to delivering a relevant, engaging curriculum tailored to the needs of young people.

The Role

- Set programmes and lesson objectives based on the curriculum and within ACARA requirements
- Consistently give prompt feedback to students,



encourage and involve students in class to enable them to fulfil their potential
- Develop and use appropriate assessment tasks and accurately record all grades and results for student assessment
- Promote a trusting and caring approach within the classroom
- Maintain current knowledge of pedagogy and subject disciplines
- Ability to relate well to students, recognising both the pastoral and educative aspects of the student-teacher relationship
- Ability to teach other curriculum areas an advantage
- Maintain an interest in the welfare of students and promote the wellbeing of students
- Some out of hours will be required due to role requirements
