HR Recruitment Officer | 3-Month Temporary Contract | $400 per day + Super | Sydney CBD | Hybrid Working | Immediate Start

Hays is partnering with a respected public sector organisation to recruit an experienced HR Recruitment Officer for an initial 3-month temporary assignment with an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for a recruitment professional with prior NSW Government experience to join a busy HR team and contribute from day one.

About the Role

Working within a collaborative HR function, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end recruitment services while supporting broader HR administration and operational processes. This role requires a highly organised individual who can manage competing priorities, provide exceptional stakeholder service and ensure recruitment activities are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across a variety of vacancies
- Prepare and post advertisements through recruitment systems
- Coordinate candidate screening, assessments, reference checks and onboarding activities
- Process employment-related documentation and background checks
- Maintain accurate employee and recruitment records




- Support HR administration and reporting requirements
- Respond to stakeholder enquiries and provide guidance on recruitment processes
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure a high-quality recruitment service

Essential Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have:

- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Previous recruitment experience within the NSW State Government
- Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes
- Experience using PageUp, HR Onboard or SuccessFactors
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced workplace
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
