You’ll work closely with business areas across Council, applying consistent project management practices to turn ideas into reliable, fit-for-purpose digital solutions.

Here’s What You’ll Be Up To…

- The ICT Project Officer is responsible for coordinating and supporting the delivery of ICT projects and initiatives across Council.
- Coordinate ICT projects in line with approved scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
- Apply Council’s project and program management methodologies, governance frameworks, tools and templates
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, schedules, reports and dashboards
- Provide clear, timely communication on project progress, risks, issues and outcomes to ICT and business stakeholders
- Work closely with business units to align project delivery with operational priorities
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditure and support accurate reporting
- Support organisational change by identifying impacts and assisting adoption of new solutions
- Ensure ICT projects comply with legislative, statutory, policy and industry requirements

This is a permanent role that collaborates extensively with ICT teams, our business and stakeholders across Council. Success in the role means projects are well-planned, clearly communicated and delivered with a positive client experience,

We’re Looking For Someone Who

- Enjoys coordinating multiple ICT initiatives and keeping projects on track
- Communicates confidently with stakeholders across technical and business teams
- Takes a structured yet practical approach to project management

Experience in ICT software delivery and infrastructure projects,

Requirements

Essential

- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, Change Management, Project Management or a related area
- Extensive experience in Software delivery and ICT Infrastructure Project Management
- Experience in driving organisational and cultural change and knowledge of change management principles particularly in a technical environment

Desirable

- Tertiary qualification or certification in project or program management e.g. PRINCE2, Program Management Professional – PMP, PMBOK
