About the role

Alamarah Capital is seeking an In House Accountant to join our finance team on a casual basis. This position is based in Geelong, VIC 3220 and offers flexibility for the right candidate. As an In House Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and compliance of our organisation.

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting our leadership team with timely financial information to drive business decisions.

What you'll be doing

- Processing and recording financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Preparing and reconciling bank statements, balance sheets, and other financial accounts on a regular basis
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Maintaining accurate and organised financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
- Supporting the audit process by preparing documentation and responding to auditor enquiries
- Assisting with financial reporting and analysis to support management decision-making
- Managing invoicing, billing and collections activities
- Performing month-end and year-end close procedures
- Liaising with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors as required

What we're looking for

- A relevant accounting qualification such as a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent experience in a similar accounting role
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a quick-paced environment




- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Familiarity with payroll and tax compliance processes
- Experience in financial reporting and statement preparation is highly desirable
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional accounting standards
