About the Role

This role requires an experienced Injury Management Advisor who can provide best practice advice & solutions, lead the review & development of injury management & prevention and RTW policies and procedures, facilitate workers compensation claims with WorkSafe and Insurers as well as launch wellbeing initiatives & training from our Moorebank office with some work from home available

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish policies and procedures on the management of injuries, worker compensation claims and return to work in compliance to the relevant legislation and GEG policies.
- Providing advice and guidance on injury management and worker’s compensation processes, including promotion of early intervention, and recovery at work.
- Ensuring guidelines and documentation are current and representative of each state and territories legislative requirements.
- Effective management of all claims, including national workers compensation, non-work-related injuries/illnesses, income protection and other employee wellbeing initiatives.




- Prepare regular reports for the business on injury management statistics
- Build and develop existing policies and procedures
- Undertake classification of injuries to ensure accurate and consistent statistical reporting

About You

- Solid experience in a similar role including managing both work and non-work related insurance claims
- Holds tertiary qualification in Occupational Health, Allied Health and Safety or other related equivalent disciplines.
- Recognised professional qualification, e.g. SIRA Recover at Work Certificate or Workcover Return to Work Coordinator (highly desirable, but not essential)
- Proven experience in developing effective injury management/return to work policies and procedures
- Solid understanding of current legislation & best practice worker’s compensation & injury management application
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills & ability to effectively manage both external & internal stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to be agile, thrives in an ambiguous environment & juggles competing priorities
- High attention to detail, proactively identifies areas of opportunities and takes charge
