Role Summary

Reporting directly to the Chief People and Culture Officer, the Injury Management & Claims Advisor plays a critical role in supporting the wellbeing of our workforce through the effective management of workplace injuries, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work programs. This role acts as the key liaison between employees, leaders, insurers, medical practitioners, and rehabilitation providers to ensure positive recovery and return-to-work outcomes.

This position is offered on a part-time basis and will provide expert advice, support compliance requirements, and drive best practice injury management processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Workers' Compensation Claims Management: Manage claims from initial notification through to closure, ensuring accurate documentation, timely action, and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Injury Management & Return-to-Work Programs:Coordinate injury management plans and suitable duties programs to support safe, sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong working relationships with employees, managers, insurers, rehabilitation providers, and treating practitioners to facilitate positive outcomes.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with workers' compensation legislation and organisational policies while preparing reports on claims performance, injury trends, and return-to-work outcomes.
- Early Intervention & Prevention:Implement proactive injury management strategies and contribute to workplace injury prevention initiatives.
- Advisory Support: Provide expert guidance to leaders and employees regarding injury management obligations,



workers' compensation processes, and return-to-work practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance injury management systems, processes, and organisational outcomes.

About You You are an experienced injury management professional with a strong understanding of workers' compensation processes, return-to-work programs, and legislative requirements. You thrive in a cooperative environment, excel at building relationships, and are passionate about supporting employee wellbeing while balancing organisational objectives.

Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple claims and stakeholders simultaneously will be key to your success in this role.

Essential Criteria

- Proven experience managing workers' compensation claims, injury management, and return-to-work programs.
- Sound knowledge of workers' compensation legislation and injury management requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to influence, educate, and support managers and employees on injury management practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.




- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidential records.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Desirable

- Experience within aged care, disability, healthcare, or community services is advantageous.
- Experience working with insurers and rehabilitation providers. Return-to-Work Coordinator qualifications and/or experience.
- Knowledge of contemporary Workplace Health and Safety practices.
