About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Installation Engineer to support the deployment, installation, commissioning, and acceptance of Nokia wireless network infrastructure across Brisbane and surrounding regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and integrating radio, transport, and edge networking equipment on telecommunications and CCTV backhaul sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer and Nokia standards.

This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong telecommunications installation experience, familiarity with Nokia radio and NDAC platforms, and the ability to work at heights on poles, light poles, and other wireless infrastructure.

Core technical skills

- Working knowledge of Nokia Radios (macro/micro/pico — AKQW, AHQ3,



AWHQW) and basic RF/antenna concepts (RET antennas, sectorization)
- Familiarity with Nokia NDAC (Digital Automation Cloud) equipment and architecture — MXIE, SRX, iXRe
- Basic understanding of FRRO504 radio units and how they connect to BBU/MXIE
- General telecom site installation experience: mounting, cabling, powering radio equipment on AWLs (poles/light poles, given this is CCTV backhaul infrastructure)
- Comfortable with on-site commissioning and acceptance testing support (working to Nokia's SAT process, even though the actual driving/testing is CID's responsibility)
- Basic IP networking literacy — enough to support connectivity checks, not full IP design (that's covered remotely by Nokia's Consultation Service)
