Seeking a State Project Director – Defence Bases & AUKUS to lead teams delivering Defence Base, Maritime Infrastructure & Defence-Aligned projects from $2M to over $300M+, while setting strategic direction and ensuring all works align with contractual obligations and defence/federal government standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive business growth through monitoring Tenders and leading Tender response.
n
- Lead Project Managers, consultants, and multidisciplinary advisory / delivery teams.
n
- Oversee project delivery, procurement, and alignment with corporate strategy.
n
- Build and maintain relationships with defence clients, government bodies, and senior stakeholders.
n
- Mentor and develop consulting staff.
n
- Act as the primary in-state point of contact for Defence client and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

n

n
- Australian Citizen, active NV1 / NV2
n




- 10+ years' Defence Base sector experience in Senior Project Management or experience in AUKOS.
n
- 5+ years' experience delivering defence base upgrades, Maritime Infrastructure, Defence Infrastructure projects, or high-profile Federal site projects in a consulting capacity.
n
- Background in defence, government, infrastructure, or major capital projects, with an NV1 clearance.
n
- Proven experience managing multiple teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.
n
- Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical), Construction, or a related field, and/or formal PMP training.
