About the role

As an Intermediate Accountant at 3P Accounting & Tax Pty Ltd, you will be a member of our dedicated team providing accounting and professional services to our growing client base. You will work towards understanding our full suite of services so when engaging with clients you can assist them in as many ways as possible.

Key responsibilities

- Client engagement and liaising with respect to accounting matters
- Understand and advise on clients' systems and procedures and their record keeping
- Assist the preparation of management reporting required by the business for clientele
- Prepare statutory financial statements including profit and loss statements and balance sheets for individuals, trusts, companies, partnerships, and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds
- Prepare income tax returns, BAS (Business Activity Statements) and PAYG (Pay as You Go) withholding
- Assist the self-managed super fund team
- Liaise with various government regulatory bodies including The Australian Taxation Office, ASIC etc…
- Assist with client audits from external bodies
- Assist with providing reporting, financial and value adding analytical support to the business clientele
- Work closely with the directors in working for multiple clients

About you

- Taxation and Business Services Experience
- Proficient in Accounting Software and Microsoft Office including MYOB Accountants Office, BGL and Xero
- Sound organisational and time management skills
- Previous people management experience desirable
- At least one year of relevant work experience as an accountant




- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Business, Commerce or relevant field, working towards or wishing to work towards a qualification of CPA Australia/Institute of Chartered Accountants
