Role Description The IT and Systems Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Sydney. This role oversees the stability, security, and performance of local IT infrastructure and systems supporting MEDITECH’s healthcare solutions. Daily responsibilities include managing server and network environments, monitoring system health, and coordinating upgrades, patches, and backups.

The IT and Systems Manager provides hands-on technical support, resolves complex issues, and collaborates with regional and global teams to ensure alignment with corporate standards and best practices. The role also involves implementing security controls, maintaining documentation, and driving continuous improvement of IT operations and service delivery.

Qualifications

- Appropriate tertiary qualification.




- 5 years of experience in the IT environment, preferably with proven MEDITECH-specific experience.
- Proven leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Authoritative written and verbal communication skills.
- Detailed documentation skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Strong analytical and organisational capabilities.
- Hands-on proficiency in software tools, including Jira, Confluence, MS Excel, etc,
- GCP and Networking experience
- Demonstrable experience with Infrastructure as Code development and deployment
- Demonstrable experience managing medium- to large-scale highly available virtual environments
- Demonstrable knowledge of physical and virtual networks, networking components and firewalls
- Demonstrable knowledge of Cybersecurity and Compliance in the health care environment
- Demonstrable experience with identity management systems (IAM), including multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Demonstrable experience with backup and disaster recovery of complex systems
- Knowledge of the various components of RESTful infrastructure deployment is advantageous
- Experience managing budgeting and procurement
- Customer Focus and experience in driving long term customer relationships
