We are seeking a reliable and experienced Construction Leading Hand to join our growing team and play a key role across a range of residential, commercial and mixed-use construction projects throughout Sydney.

This position would suit someone who is confident working on the tools, can take responsibility for coordinating trades on site, and has the practical experience to keep a project moving when challenges arise.

We're looking for a person who takes pride in their work, leads by example and knows how to get the best out of the people around them.

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with the Site Manager and Foreman, you'll help keep the day-to-day operation of the site running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with the coordination and supervision of trades and subcontractors
- Leading by example and maintaining a productive site environment
- Helping organise daily site activities and construction sequencing
- Working hands-on where required to keep the project progressing
- Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification
- Reading and working from plans, drawings and project documentation
- Checking workmanship and identifying issues before they become problems
- Coordinating materials, deliveries and site requirements
- Assisting with site set-out and general construction activities
- Communicating effectively with the Foreman, Site Manager and subcontractors
- Maintaining a clean, organised and secure work site
- Supporting the team through different stages of construction

About You

We're looking for a well-rounded construction professional who has experience working across more than one area of the industry.

Ideally, you will have:





- Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Senior Tradesperson or similar
- Experience across residential and commercial construction
- Exposure to mixed-use or multi-stage developments is highly regarded
- A strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and site operations
- The ability to confidently coordinate and direct trades
- A practical understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- A strong eye for quality and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a wider project team
- A strong understanding of WHS requirements
- A current NSW White Card
- Relevant trade qualifications or construction experience
- A current driver's licence and Australian working rights
