About the Role
Our Mt Kelly Operations (Lady Annie mine), located approximately 120km north-northwest of Mount Isa, has been an operational copper mine for over 10 years. We are currently seeking skilled and safety-focused Boilermaker to join our team and contribute to the growing success of our processing operations.
What You’ll Do
Working within the crushing team on a 15/13 roster, the purpose of your role will be to maintain plant and critical infrastructure equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and repair structural and high wear issues.
- Installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.
- Carry out inspections of plant and equipment to ensure it meets site and statutory requirements.
- Complete JSA’s and other safety requirements in accordance with site procedures
- Generate workorders and maintain spares inventory.
- Keep accurate records of completed maintenance works.
- Carry out comprehensive hand overs at the end of each swing.
- Safely and willingly step outside the traditional boilermaker’s scope to assist with variety of site tasks as required to develop broader site skills.
- Adhere strictly to site safety management systems,
conduct thorough take-5s, and maintain an immaculate workshop and work area.
What We Are Looking For:
- Trade Qualification: Australian Recognised Boilermaker Trade Certificate.
- Versatile Experience: Proven experience working in a crushing circuit involving weld repairs and fabrications of chute liners, wear packages to Jaw and Cone crushing, feeders and screens, conveyor systems and stacking circuits.
- The Right Attitude: A genuine willingness to lend a hand to non-trade-specific maintenance tasks when the team needs it.
- Current Manual Drivers Licence.
- Current Working at Heights ticket.
- Current Confined Space ticket.
- Mine Site Ready: Previous experience working on a Queensland mine site under a strict safety framework is highly regarded.
- High Risk Work Licences: A Forklift (LF) ticket, Franna Crane (CN) ticket and Elevatored Work Platform (EWP) are highly desirable.
