We are seeking a Counsellor Level 2 to join the growing team at Unity Allied Health Pty Ltd in Hurstville, NSW. This is a part-time position that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by providing professional counselling services. As a Counsellor Level 2, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health support to individuals experiencing a range of psychological and emotional challenges. This role is integral to our mission of providing accessible, evidence-based allied health services to our community.
Key responsibilities
- Implementing therapy programs, delivering prescribed exercises, and mobility programs planned by the supervising therapist and psychologist.
- Monitoring and reporting. Observing and identifying patient progress and changes. Maintaining accurate and timely case notes and clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements, and preparing therapy resources.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic client care.
- Providing crisis support and safety planning when required.
What we're looking for
- A recognised counselling qualification, such as a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Counselling or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 1 year of post-qualification counselling experience
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and techniques
- Excellent active listening and interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to work confidently with diverse client populations and a range of presenting issues
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
