Operations Manager Required | Custom Joinery, Exhibitions & Fit-Out | Northern Beaches | Full-Time & Permanent | $140K - $170K + Super (DoE)

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Operations Manager to join a specialist business delivering high-end custom joinery, retail fit-outs, exhibitions, pop-up environments and bespoke brand activations.
Based on the Northern Beaches, this is a senior operational position suited to someone with a strong cabinetmaking/joinery background who understands the full process from production through to installation and handover.
You'll be working across premium retail, commercial, exhibition and experiential projects where quality, attention to detail and tight delivery programmes are critical.

The Role

- Operations Management - Oversee day-to-day operational activities across production, projects and installation.
- Production Coordination - Manage workflow, resources, priorities and manufacturing schedules.
- Project Delivery - Coordinate projects from production through to site installation and completion.
- Team Leadership - Lead and support trades, installers, subcontractors and project teams.
- Programming & Scheduling - Ensure multiple projects remain on programme and properly resourced.
- Factory-to-Site Coordination - Ensure joinery and fabricated components are produced, finished, delivered and installed correctly.
- Quality Control - Maintain consistently high standards across bespoke joinery and finished projects.
- Logistics - Coordinate deliveries, installations, bump-ins/bump-outs and site requirements.
- Client & Stakeholder Management - Maintain strong relationships with clients, builders, designers and suppliers.




- Problem Solving - Identify issues early and provide practical solutions to keep projects moving.
- Commercial Awareness - Monitor resources, costs, productivity and overall project performance.
- WHS - Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety across factory and site operations.

About You
You will ideally have:

- A trade qualification in Cabinetmaking, Joinery, Carpentry or a related discipline.
- Strong experience within commercial joinery, cabinetmaking or bespoke fabrication.
- Previous experience in an Operations, Production, Project or Senior Site Management position.
- Experience across retail fit-outs, shopfitting, exhibitions, pop-ups, hospitality or premium interiors.
- A strong understanding of joinery production and installation processes.
- Proven ability to manage people, production and multiple projects simultaneously.
- The ability to interpret drawings, specifications, materials and manufacturing requirements.
- Excellent organisation, scheduling and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with clients, suppliers, trades and internal teams.
- A practical, hands-on and solutions-focused approach.
