We're looking for an Intermediate / Senior Accountant who wants to continue developing their technical skills while taking the next step towards becoming a genuine adviser to their clients.

You don't need to have spent five or six years in public practice or have everything mastered already. We're much more interested in your capability, communication skills and where you're heading.

What your role will look like

You'll have the opportunity to:

- Take ownership of a portfolio of clients and build genuine relationships with them.

- Deal directly with business owners through phone, email and face-to-face meetings.

- Participate in tax and business planning meetings and increasingly take the lead in client conversations as you develop.

- Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS and other business services work.

- Develop beyond compliance work into advisory.

- Work closely with experienced accountants who will help develop your technical and advisory skills.

- Collaborate with senior management on client projects.

- Build towards managing a larger client portfolio and future leadership opportunities.





- Join networking groups and develop your own professional network.

Who we're looking for

The right person will ideally:

- Have approximately 2.5+ years of Australian public practice experience, although capability is more important to us than an exact number of years.

- Be an excellent communicator who genuinely enjoys dealing with clients.

- Have started taking ownership of client relationships, or be ready to do so.





- Have some exposure to client meetings and ideally tax planning.

- Be able to prepare financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and partnerships.

- Have a good grounding in Australian taxation concepts, including Division 7A, FBT and Small Business Entity concessions.

- Have commenced, or completed, their CA or CPA qualification.

- Have a genuine interest in business and want to develop beyond compliance into advisory.

- Be organised, comfortable with technology and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

We're not necessarily looking for the accountant with the most years of experience. We're looking for someone with strong foundations, excellent communication skills and the potential to become an outstanding adviser.
