Organisational growth has created an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to expand the current small national finance & administration team located at the business Head Office in Kings Park.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will supplement the existing accounting staff to:
- Assist in month end processes
- Preparation of daily bank reconciliations and monthly corporate credit card reconciliations
- Completion of weekly business KPI reporting
- Fleet payment processing and reconciliations
- Back-up and support for separately resourced Accounts Payable function
- Back-up for weekly invoice and fleet pay processing
- Monthly sales staff commission calculations
- General accounting duties
- Other reasonable general administrative support functions for the business, as may be required
Key Skills/Attributes
- Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar.
- Prior experience in a similar role beneficial
- Attention to detail critical
- IT savvy & intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables & Formulas) and Word skillsTime management and organisation skills with the ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision
