The opportunity

Infinity Pro is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst, ideally with specialisation in Wireless Networks / WiFi / IoT to support a Transport for NSW project delivering Wi-Fi connectivity on Transport Systems.

This opportunity combines core business analysis with a tangible transport technology project. You will translate business and operational needs into clear requirements, bring business and technical stakeholders together, and help keep delivery aligned with the agreed scope.

You will need strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills, alongside a solid understanding of networks, Wi-Fi components and the security considerations surrounding wireless connectivity.

Essential experience

- Proven extensive seasoned Business Analyst experience, with strong requirements elicitation, stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and documentation skills.
- A solid understanding of network infrastructure and Wi-Fi / wireless network components, sufficient to work confidently with technical specialists and translate their input into business requirements.
- A good understanding of network security and cyber security, particularly in Wi-Fi environments.
- Experience producing As-Is / To-Be documentation, current-state and future-state analysis, functional and technical requirements, impact summaries and risk analysis.




- The ability to communicate clearly across business and technical teams, resolve ambiguity, challenge requirements constructively and protect the agreed project scope.

Highly desirable but not essential experience

- Experience working across Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
- An understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and connected devices.
- Exposure to Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Previous experience within Transport, Rail or another NSW Government organisation.

What you will be doing

- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to elicit, clarify and validate business, operational and technical requirements.
- Act as the conduit between business stakeholders, technical teams and subject matter experts, translating needs into clear, actionable documentation.
- Analyse current and future states, map processes and develop As-Is / To-Be documentation for the proposed changes.
- Prepare business, functional and technical requirements, assess impacts, and identify gaps, risks and issues.
- Maintain requirements traceability, assess proposed changes against agreed requirements and help safeguard project scope.
- Support the development of user acceptance testing scenarios, implementation planning and transition into business-as-usual operations.

These additional areas are desirable rather than mandatory. The priority is strong BA capability supported by relevant network, Wi-Fi and security knowledge.
