Senior Financial Accountant

$120,000 - $130,000 + super | Career progression | Sutherland Shire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a well-established and growing business with a robust reputation in its industry. This is a broad role where you'll take ownership of the accounting function while gaining valuable exposure across the wider finance operation.
Importantly, this is a role with genuine long-term progression. As the business continues to grow there is a clear opportunity for the successful candidate to develop.

The Opportunity

- Managing the end-to-end month-end close across multiple entities
- Preparing monthly group consolidations, including intercompany transactions and eliminations
- Managing project accounting, including WIP, cost tracking and margin analysis
- Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity
- Supporting statutory accounts, BAS, FBT and external audit requirements
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- Partnering with operational and project teams to provide commercial insight




- Working closely with senior finance across a broad range of finance initiatives and process improvements

About You

- 3+ years' experience across financial or group accounting
- CPA or CA qualified or actively studying towards
- Strong experience across multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to partner with non-finance stakeholders
- A genuine ambition to progress your career
