Expressway Spares is looking for a full-time Hydraulic Cylinder Rebuild Technician to join the team in our modern, purpose-built facility.

The Role

Predominantly working on Caterpillar hydraulic cylinders and suspension cylinders, you will be supplied your own workspace with computer, cylinder bench, enclosed work bench, and toolbox for your personal tools. Plus, top of the range measuring equipment and major tooling in a modern facility

Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Maintain and participate in a safe work environment

- Dismantling cylinders for the purpose of inspection

- repair assessment

- reporting

- parts assessment utilising OEM software equivalents





- failure analysis

- improvement recommendations

- Assembly of the reconditioned cylinders while using safe work and OEM methods, completing QC documentation, and operating a custom cylinder rebuild and hydraulic test bench

- Production of a quality product with expectation of extended life

Desired Qualifications/Experience

- Trade qualification preferable however not essential – A mechanical background and mechanical aptitude will be considered

- OEM systems operating experience desirable but not essential

- Hold a valid Driver’s Licence

- current Forklift Ticket desirable but not essential
